Slawomir Latala, top Polish and WBF and EBL Tournament Director is suspended for 3 months: He looked results using his yellow BBO nickname.
Latała is accused of kibitzing the closed room table of his match, by logging in as a referee (“yellow”). In his explanations, Latała claimed that his wife logged in.
He also admitted to have looked at his teammates’ table, but only to check the current result of the match, which in his opinion should be visible. He strongly denied getting unauthorised information.
The PBU Disciplinary Committee focused on the fact that Latała used his yellow account inappropriately, regardless of whether he used the information or not.
