Giovanni Albamonte Memorial: Registrations are open

Giovanni Albamonte Memorial Tournament – Now you can join the tournament in memory of Giovanni Albamonte. As mentioned earlier, the usual BBO  ITALIA evening  tournament Monday April 18 will be devoted to the young Italian champion who died recently. Tournament management is entrusted to Mrs. Rosalba Carbonetti,  promoter of the event. Some friends of Giovanni  can not take part in the tournament because they are playing  in international competitions. These are the messages they sent to us: 

“I wish that a fantastic player and a great man, whom I had the honor of being a friend, will always be remembered by all bridge players who knew him. I hope that this initiative is just the first of a long and increasingly prestigious series of initiatives to remember Giovanni. Valerio Giubilo “

“This tournament is a great initiative, I greatly regret not being able to be there but you know, and above all he knows,  morally I’m with you. Giovanni  was a dear friend and all we miss  him. Alfredo Versace“

We are pleased to give notice of another initiative devoted to Giovanni. The team Miroglio in the past year won the Serie A of Italian Open Team Championship, so they this year will play in Eccellenza (starting April 18^th). The np Captain is Carlo Miroglio, CEO of a great textile company in Alba (Cuneo). The players are: Jacek Romansky, Apolinary Kowalski, Andrea Buratti, Giulio Bongiovanni, Amedeo Comella, Giovanni Albamonte. Giovanni won with them, but few months ago he passed. The mates have kept empty his place, reserved for him: He will play in their hearts.
