Management Board of the Polish Bridge Union (“the PBU”) discussed the circumstances of the qualifications to the Bermuda Bowl Championships. We understand the rationale for the decision of the Polish Team, which decided not to play against the Italian Team. In the opinion of the Management Board of the PBU, strict adherence to ethical principles, consistent and unequivocal elimination and stigmatization of behavior conflicting with these principles is a necessary condition for the further development of sport bridge. This goal should be the priority for all national and international bridge federations.
