Wuhan Cup: Italy asks disqualification of USA1

To the WBF Committee Championships

To the WBF Operations Director

and to WBF President

and to EBL President

Dears Sirs,

We point out that USA1 team participating in the Wuhan Cup and opponent of Italy in the semifinal of this event, played with 9 players.

In detail, during the quarterfinals Amber lin, Cheri Bjerkam and Kevin Rosenberg have played, and they were not in the starting team roster.

In the same quarter-finals Ginossar and Rosenthal, part of the starting team roster, have played and then Kevin Rosenberg replaced Chris Williken.

This substituted player was again deployed in all rounds of the semi-finals.

We hereby officially ask you to confirm that the replacement have been made following the presentation of a positive Covid-test swap, the only reason allowed by regulation of the event for authorization of the replacement.

We aslo sk you how it was therefore possible for Williken to return to ply, since he should have been in isolation, thus violating the Itlin health official law relating anti-Covid19 measures.

We therefore ask for the immediate disqualification from the competition of the USA1 team, and the admission to the final of the Italian team.
