ACBL Tests Online NABC Event

Recognizing that online competition is a key part of the future of duplicate bridge, the ACBL is adding a new event to the Toronto North American Bridge Championships.

The 2017 NABC Online Individual is an experimental, national-rated contest to be played Sunday, July 23, through Wednesday, July 26, on Bridge Base Online. Contestants play with and against robots. Up for grabs is an NABC title and gold/red masterpoints.

This event enables ACBL members all over the world to log on and attend the NABC via their laptop or mobile device. The four-session game awards a limited NABC title and up to 48 masterpoints (one-third gold/two-thirds red).

Registration opens July 9. Players who sign up in advance save $10: Card fees are $40 for those who register by July 19, and $50 for those who sign up July 20-23. Participation is limited to ACBL members, and players must have a BBO account.
