Germany – The The European Bridge League (EBL) has published a list of negotiated hotels for the twelfth edition of the European Youth Pairs Championships held in Town Hall in Burghausen (Germany) from 12th to 19th July, 2014.
WBF – The WBF will introduce a new National Open Pairs in 2016, to be contested in Olympiad years, details to be determined. Each player in the pair must be from the same country.
Sweden – The Swedish Bridge Federation and the Nordic Bridge Union invite all juniors to participate in the 2014 Nordic Junior Pair Championship and Junior Camp. The Camp/Championship will be held in Örebro (Sweden) at the Scandic Örebro Väst Hotel from 16 – 20 April, 2014. Entries are made to your own NBO no later than 28/2/ 2014.
WBF – World University Online Bridge Championships: to give more time for teams to enter it has been decided that the deadline for entry will now be1st February 2014, with the Championships starting on1st March.
Croatia – The European Bridge League (EBL) has published a list of negotiated hotels for the 52nd European Team Championships held in Opatija (Croatia) 21st June-2nd July 2014.
USA – 2013 Fall NABC – The team captained by Vinita Gupta won the Baze Senior Knockout Teams. Gupta played with Billy Miller, Jeff Meckstroth, Eric Rodwell, Lew Stansby and Bart Bramley. The team captained by Jim Mahaffey won the Mitchell Open Board-a-Match Teams. Mahaffey played with Tony Forrester, Jean Quantin, Marc Bompis, Josef Piekarek and Alexander Smirnov.
