Ascoli Piceno vince Intercity League Primavera 2014

Tonci RadeljaAscoli Piceno ha vinto il suo quarto titolo consecutivo in Intercity League (ICL). La squadra italiana ha vinto otto delle ventuno edizioni disputate da quando fu istituito, nel 2004, dal compianto Tonci Radelja, un professore universitario di matematica di Spalato (ICL si gioca due volte all’anno).

La finale è stata contro Szprotawa, una città polacca; Ascoli ha perso cinque punti proprio nella prima mano, ma presto ha preso il commando e non lo ha più ceduto sino al termine, malgrado l’ostinata resistenza dei polacchi.

I giocatori di Ascoli: tre danesi, Steen Moller, Stig Werderlin e Mathias Bruun, e quattro italiani, Piero Tiiffenau, Fabio Colasante, Mauro Fanesi e Paolo Enrico Garrisi, capitano giocatore.

E quelli di Szprotawa (è da notare che Szprotawa era esordiente in ICL; un bel debutto!): Janusz Łunis, Kazimierz Sługocki, Witold Miłoszewski, Andrzej Grygorczuk, Eugieniusz Szczepański e Piotr Brzeziński (capitano giocatore).

L’edizione d’autunno di Intercity League, la 22a, inizierà mercoledì 8 ottobre.
