The International Teams Tourney “Città di Milano”  will be held 7 to 9 December, 2012. The venue is the NH Centro Congressi MilanoFiori, Milano (Italy). Format, schedule and prize money will be announced in the coming days by Italian Federation (FIGB). The Città di Milano Teams Tourney is the most important in Italy and one of the majors in Europe because of the number and strength of participants.

It’s held every year at the end of the week that contains December 7th, day of Saint Ambrose, archbishop of Milano in the fourth century a.C. and today patron of the city.

The first edition was in 1970, with fifty teams, but soon came in the great champions: Torino won the 1972 edition with Pellegrin, Fiz, Garozzo, Belladonna, Garabello, Pittalà, De Martini. The Maria Teresa Lavazza’s team won the last edition (2011): Guido Ferraro, Agustin Madala, Norberto Bocchi, Antonio Sementa and Giorgio Duboin.

The picture we publish here is designed for Neapolitan Club by Michele Leone, who was General manager of “Città di Milano” in 2004. Read the event page at Leone’s site: click here »
