Elinescu-Wladow Affaire: The WBF Appeal Court

Ata Aydin (WBF)The German Bridge Federation (DBV – Deutscher Bridge Verband) as well as Michael Elinescu and Entscho Wladow appealed against the decision by the Disciplinary Committee of the World Bridge Federation in Dallas, Texas on March 2014. According to the WBF Disciplinary Code the appeal will be examined in the following 90 days. If the outcome of this appeal will turn out to be unsatisfactory for the German side it is likely that the Germans will take the case to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport)  in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The members of WBF Appeal Court are: Mrs. Françoise Lejuste from France, member of the French Supreme Court (Chairman), Mr. Ata Aydin from Turkey, former President of the WBF Youth Committee  (Member), Mrs. Francesca Carnicelli from Italy, a criminal lawyer (Member), and Mr. Herman De Wael from Belgium (Secretary).

The date of the hearing of the WBF Appeal  Court has not yet been fixed.
