round robin bali 1The USA1 Team has won Bermuda Bowl round robins; the champions – so far – are Kevin Bathurst, Kevin Dwyer, John Kranyak, Bobby Levin, Steve Weinstein, Gavin Wolpert, and Shane Blanchard as np captain. Second placed is Italy, third Monaco, then Poland, The Netherlands (title holder), England, China, Canada. Ninth, thus first of not qualified teams, came USA2, which had never entered the qualifying field: the ninth is her better result. The other surprise of Bermuda Bowl is Japan; only eleventh, but they fought gallantly; have been for 19 out of 21 rounds in the qualifying field. They deserve to be mentioned:Dawei Chen, Kazuo Furuta, Masayuki Ino, Hiroshi Kaku, Masaaki Takayama, Tadashi Teramoto, Megumi Takasaki (np captain).

The Venice Cup round robins have been won by The Netherlands: Carla Arnolds, Marion Michielsen, Jet Pasman, Anneke Simons, Meike Wortel, Wietske van Zwol; Alex van Reenen (np captain), and Hans Kelder, coach. Second placed USA1, then Poland, China, USA2, Turkey; only seventh and eight France and England, that is the title holder and the European Champion. Also there was a fine Japan team, ninth. The Turkey has confirmed to be a world power.

In Ernesto D’Orsi Senior Bowl the winner is France, Title holder (Patrick Grenthe, Guy Lasserre, Francois Leenhardt, Alain Levy, Philippe Poizat, Philippe Vanhoutte, Philippe Cronier, np captain), followed by USA2, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Indonesia, Scotland, The Netherlands. Ninth was USA1, which suffered an unbelievable upset: from the third to ninth place in the last two rounds.
