2016 Palace CUP

bridge24.pl29th Mar – 3rd Apr 2016, Warsaw Marriott Hotel
– next edition of the Palace CUP, organized by BRIDGE24.PL foundation will be held. Top world and Polish players will participate. Three tournaments will be played:


Pro-Am Tournament

Tuesday, 29th of Mar 7.00 p.m.

There will be a chance for all bridge lovers to play a tournament with the stars from Polish and world’s bridge scene. At the auction it will be possible to bid the right to play with some selected participants of main teams or pairs tournament. The list of all participating players will be published soon.

Teams Tournament

16 teams – invited and accepted by organizers – will participate. Starting on Wednesday the 30th of Mar and finishing on Friday the 1st of Apr, complete robin round of 12-board matches will be played. Four best teams will play 64-board (4×16) semi-finals on Saturday the 2nd of Apr, final (4×16 boards) and play off for the third place (2×16) on Sunday the 3rd of Apr. Entry fee is 2.500 € per team. Pairs from teams which will not qualify to semifinals will play at the pairs tournament.

Pairs Tournament

Pairs tournament is open for all players – accepted by organizers. Entry fee is 400 € per pair. Tournament will be played for imp – Butler scoring with the results of the matches converted to Victory Points with WBF scale.

On Thursday the 31st of Mar and Friday the 1st of Apr, qualification stage will be played. After qualifications the pairs will be divided into finals: A and B. Final A will be joined by the pairs, which will not qualify to semifinal stage of the Teams Tournament.

Finals will be played on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of Apr.
