2012 Italian Club Team Championships are underway

2012 Italian Club Team Championships. The Italian Club Team Championships final stage will start – 27-30 of September – at Palazzo dei Congressi di Salsomaggiore Terme, next to Parma. There will be the semi-finals and finals of Open and Women Category. The Open winning team will play the 11th Champions Cup in Eilat, Israel’s picturesque Red Sea resort, from 15 to 18 November 2012. The four team qualified for the semi-finals are: Ass. Bridge Reggio Emilia, Associato Allegra from Torino (Lavazza), Asd Tennis from Rome and  Ass. Bridge from Val di Magra (La Spezia). The name of the latter comes from the wonderful valley, made by Magra River, that parts Liguria and Toscana.

The team of Maria Teresa Lavazza, winner of the last edition of the event, presents the usual “all stars” line-up: Guido Ferraro, Norberto Bocchi, Agustin Madala, Antonio Sementa e Giorgino Duboin.

The team ASD Tennis from Rome grabbed the qualification defeating the strong Angelini’s team (Francesco Angelini, Federico Primavera, Leonardo Cima, Valerio Giubilo, Arrigo Franchi, Lorenzo Lauria and Alfredo Versace).  They are: Carlo Carpentieri and Mario Guarino – Italian Open Pairs Champions – Guido Bonavoglia, Luciano Giacomini, Roberto Lanciano, Franco Masoero, Andrea Mazza, Francesco Natale and  Massimiliano Porta.

The Reggio Emilia Team is composed of Mauro Basile, Andrea Buratti, Amedeo Comella, Gianfranco Facchini, Ezio Fornaciari, Carla Gianardi, Aldo Mina and Gian Paolo Ruspa.

And the team from  Val di Magra is composed of Stefano Caiti, Robin Fellus, Massimo Lanzarotti, Andrea Manno, Cristiano Miozzi and Maurizio Pattacini.

All matches will be broadcast on BBO.

In Women’s section the four teams qualificated are: Bridge Catania, C. Bridge N. Ditto from Reggio Calabria, Bridge Reggio Emilia (defending champions) and Circolo della Vela from Ancona.

SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
