The first edition of the Prince Albert II Cup takes place from 11 to 13 October 2001 at the Sporting d’Hivier (Place du Casino) in Monte Carlo, Monaco. There are 10 participating teams composed of players of high international level. The entry fees (25,000 euros) will be donated to AMPA (Monegasque Association for Research on Alzheimer disease).
The event is held under the auspices of the Federation Monegasque Bridge (FBM) with support from the Department of Tourism in Monaco and the Société des Bains de Mer, FBM historic partner.

Following this, 14 to 16 October 2011, the International Open Team Tournament will take place in the same location: prize pool of over 20,000 euros and technical direction assigned to Gianni Bertotto and Patrick Chalard.
