World Bridge Federation: Events scheduled through 2018

WBFAt the meeting of the WBF Executive Council held in Sanya yesterday (Thursday, October 16) Mr Gianarrigo Rona (WBF President) confirmed  the forthcoming calendar for WBF Events scheduled through 2018:

2015 –  The 2015 World Championships (Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup, Senior Bowl & Transnational Teams) will be held in Chennai, India, from September 26th to October 10th.The 2015 World Youth Open Bridge Championship will be held in Opatija, Croatia, from August 20 -29.

2016 – The 2016 World Bridge Games (formerly called the Olympiad – National Team events and new National Pairs events) will be held in Wroclaw, Poland, from September 3 to September 17. The World Youth Teams Championship – Ortiz-Patiño Cup (Under 26), Damiani Cup (U21), Rona Cup (Women U26) and Kids (U15)- will be held in Salsomaggiore Terme (next to Parma), Italy, from August 3 to August 13.

2017 – The 2017 World Championships (Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup, Senior Bowl & Transnational Teams) will be held in Lyon, France, from August 12 to August 27. The World Youth Open Bridge Championship will also be in Lyon, from August 16 to August 25.

2018 – The World Bridge Series (Mixed Teams, Mixed Pairs, Rosenblum Open Teams, McConnell Women’s Teams and Rand Senior Teams) will be held in Orlando, FL from September 22 to October 6. The World Youth Teams Championship will be held in Shanghai, China,from August 1 to 11.

Silvio Sbarigia

 

SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
