Tonight Gianarrigo Rona, the President of the World Bridge Federation, has opened the World Championships Bridge in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. Master of ceremony was Hans Kazan, the world famous magician, who continuously fooled his audience with playing cards and ropes.
Tomorrow morning the matches start at 10,30 am. The first week the round robin is played in the Bermuda Bowl, the Venice Cup and the d’Orsi Senior Bowl.
All the events are being held at NH Koningshof in Veldhoven, close to Eindhoven.
