The Dutch Bridge Museum is located in Leerdam, a town in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Leerdam is well-known for its glass industry. The Museum has been founded 30 years ago by Mr Gerard Hilte who is still the director of the Museum. Mr. Hilte was 20 years old and collected bridge books and magazines in a barn next to his house. Over time the barn became a villa and the private collection became a museum full of antiques and curious things.
Today you can take an interesting and amazing full virtual tour. The new site, published on February 2011, is the first virtual bridge museum in the world: www.bridgemuseum.com.
Over 30.000 pictures can be seen by visiting the collectiopart of the site:.
