They defeated in final the England Hiden (with Frances Hinden, Graham Osborne, Alex Hydes, Mike Bell). At the end of the second round England Hiden withdrew when the score was 170-53.
In the semifinal England Hindes defeated Down Under by 97-64 and Russia defetead Beijing Trinergy by 97-53.
The NEC Cup is a yearly team tournament with a rich prize established in 1995 by the Japan Contract Bridge League (JCBL) and supported by the Nippon Electric Corporation (NEC), a Japanese company established over a century ago and today specialised in computers and communication technology.
