Madala & Bocchi 200The FIGB (Italian Bridge Federation) has invited two pairs to represent Italy as the 2016 Open Team: Versace-Lauria and Bocchi-Madala.

Both the European Teams Championships and the World Bridge Games will take place in 2016 (June and September respectively).

Players must confirm their participation by July 15, 2015.

It seems that Alfredo Versace and Lorenzo Lauria will accept, but what about Norberto Bocchi and Agustin Madala?

As published by Neapolitan Club, last October players of the Lavazza team (Bocchi, Duboin, Madala) sent a letter to the Italian Federation announcing they were not available to be selected to represent Italy: it is thus not sure yet whether Bocchi and Madala will join the Italian Open Team in 2016.
