Bridge Big invites all competitive bridge players to play in an online duplicate tournament on March 30 for a share of a guaranteed €10,000 (that’s U.S.$13,000) cash prize pool. There are two ways to enter: direct buy-in (or registration fee) of €75 or earn a ticket to the big event by playing in 24/7 qualifying events running every day for the month of March. Who: All competitive bridge players are welcome. Individual bridge, no partners.
Registration: Opens March 1, 2013 with three ways to enter.
- Register directly for a buy-in of €75 (a little less than $100).
- Earn a seat in the knock-out by winning a qualifying tournament with a €12 ($15) buy-in.
- Work up from a qualifying tournament with a €3 ($4) buy-in from which the top two places proceed to the €12 qualifier.

Formats: The March 30 tournament uses a 32-board knock-out format, with an unlimited number of players and a guaranteed prize pool of €10,000 (about $13,000) to be split between the top ranked players. For example, first place will earn between €2,000 and €5,000 depending on the number of players; pay-out schedule is posted in advance on bridgebig.com. Qualifiers are 8-person tournaments that run 24/7 from March 1 until March 30; as soon as the eighth player registers, the tournament begins.
