The 2013 Vilnius Cup is held from Thursday, 29th August to Sunday, 01st September at hotel “Karolina” located near park and TV tower, 4 km from city center of Vilnius (Lithuania). The event is one of the most beautiful and challenging East European bridge tournaments: It began in the sixties and is held every year in Lithuania. The current edition comprises four competitions: commercial pairs, open pairs, open team and mixed pairs.
In the participants list we can see many names of great prestige: There is the whole Hackett family: Paul, Jason and Justin. They play with Brian Senior and Richard Bowdery with HACKETT team. There is the strong team REAL composed of Eugeniy Gladish, Mikhail Krasnoselskiy, Andrey Gromov and Alexander Dubinin from Russia. There are also Jacek Kalita and Michał Nowosadzki from Poland: two of the winners of last Spingold in Atlanta; they play with David Hermann and Artur Malinowski from England in the KALITA team. And… many other well-known European champions.
