Rastignano 2013Rastignano Team Trophy Novatek. Sixth Edition: Sept 7th 2013. Rastignano was already presented here: it’s an hamlet of the town of Pianoro, in the western side of Romagna, next to the border with Emilia; the tourney will be played in one day, seven rounds of eight hand matches and a pause to dine all together and to become friends before spaghetti and lambrusco, and not only spaghetti: the Romagna is the land of the best cookery in the world, also there are tortellini, ham, salami, etc.

The writer John Grisham set in Parma, in Emilia, not far from Rastignano, his tale “Playing for Pizza”. It’s the story of an American football player who, kicked off from his team in America because an horrible match which cost the title, was engaged by the “Parma Panthers” (really existing). There he drove his teammates to win the championship, but at the beginning he wasn’t able to keep his figure because the eating table was too much inviting.

The Rastignano Novatek Trophy has unusual features, beside tortellini and lambrusco: 2000€ for the winner and not less than 8000 of pool, whatever would be the number of participants. But are expected coming eighty teams or more, crisis or not crisis, and beside them are expected Maurizio Pattaccini, Arturo Franco, Roberto Cambiaghi, Furio Di Bello, Ezio Fornaciari, Carla Gianardi, and many other guys like these ones.
