2013 Chairman’s Cup – The Italian team Breno (Romain Zaleski, Andrea Manno, Boguslaw Gierulski, Jerzy Skrzypczak) will play the final match against the Swedish team Vi i femman (Johnny Östberg , Anders Morath, Tommy Gullberg, Christer Bjäring, Sven Åke Bjerregård).
The final (4 Rounds of 16 board) will be played today, Thursday 1st of August .
The Chairman’s Cup is the main event of the Swedish Bridge Festival. It’s an international team tournament: the name comes from that the chairman of the Swedish Bridge Federation is the sponsor of the tournament.
The first price is 50.000 SEK (5.000 Euros).
The 19th Swedish Bridge Festival takes place in Örebro (Sweden) from July 26 to August 4, 2013.

Curiosity. Lars Andersson so explained the name of the Swedish team “Vi i femman”: It is a pun, playing on there being 5 players in the team (femman) and a name of a famous swedish TV Show (a quiz for 5th graders).
