The Camrose has come to the second day; after three out of five 32 board matches the Irish team is leading before the England, but only by 0,75VP (an adjustment). But let’s go in the duly order. After the large victory in the first round against the second team of Northern Ireland (CBAI), perhaps the weakest of the six teams, the Ireland has lost the second round against the powerful England, the holder, by a neat 11-19. In the third round, however, Ireland has defeated Wales 21-9, and it must be said that Wales, winning the 2011 edition, had been the team who had broken the English string (3 victories in the last four years).
Second day results, Round II
Wales – CBAI 25- 2 (118-32)
N. Ireland – Scotland 20-10 (76-45)
England – Ireland 19-11 (73-45)
Second day results, Round III
Ireland – Wales – 21- 9 (78-43)
CBAI – Scotland – 15-15 (55-54)
England – N. Ireland 20-10 (80-48)
And that’s the ranking after three rounds
Ireland 55,75 115 IMP
England 55 66
Northern Ireland 48 20
Wales 45,5 31
Scotland 39 -38
CBAI 16,5 -193
