As reported yesterday by BridgeTopics.com, the next European Bridge Championships will not be held in the expected place: “ By now it seems almost certain that Greece has withdrawn itself as the organizer of the 2012 Eureopean Bridge Championships. No alternatives have been mentioned yet though”.
Last spring the President of the Hellenic Bridge Federation Diogenis Harlaftis and the EBL President Yves Aubry had signed for the hosting of the 51st European Team Championships in Greece: 2012 from June 12th to June 23rd. The chosen location was Porto Carras Grand Resort, about 120 km away from Thessaloniki.
