5th EUROPEAN OPEN BRIDGE CHAMPIONSHIPS – Poznan (Poland) 17th June – 2nd July 2011. Mixted Teams. The second knock-out has been played. Another resounding elimination after Round of 16: Green Eyes defeats 77 to 73 the team of Janet de Botton (paired with Artur Malinowski). Tomorrow Tuesday 21th June Quarter finals (Round of 8 ) and Semifinals (Round of 4).
The final (three sessions) will be played on Wednesday 22nd.
At the same time today the mixed-pair qualifications began: Jeff Meckstroth, one of the favourites to win a medal, plays with his wife Sara Chapleau.
