2011 Italian Open Team Championships – Salsomaggiore (Parma) 28 April – 1 May. The winner is SBARIGIA-CANOTTIERI ROMA: Zaleski’s team played under the banner of the ‘old’ Canottieri Roma Club. The non-playing captain of team is the Italian Olimpic champion  Silvio Sbarigia.  This agreement allowed  such lumineries as Alfredo Versace and Lorenzo Lauria alongside Valerio Giubilo (read interview >>), Riccardo Intonti, Mario d’Avossa and Romain Zaleski himself to play in excellence class in this prestigious tournament.

On December 2010 Team Zaleski, participating for the first time in the Italian Cup, immediately hit target and therefore has written its name in the Hall of Fame of the Italian Cup. Today they win Italian Open Team Championships.

Last summer, when Mr Zaleski hired Lauria, Versace and Giubilo, Neapolitan Club wrote:  “What seems clear now is that the team will be strong and competitive, able to break the duopoly Angelini – Lavazza in the next Italian Championships”… We were right!

Second place for Miroglio – Alba Bridge Club: Giulio Bongiovanni (read our interview >>), Andrea Buratti, Amedeo Comella, Apolinary  Kowalski and Jacek Romanski.

Third place for Mr Angelini: Benito Garozzo, Leonardo Cima, Fulvio Fantoni, Claudio Nunes and Federico Primavera (read interview >>).
