2011 Italian Club Team Championships: Clear victory of Lavazza

2011 Italian Club Team Championships – The Italian “Campionati Societari” (Club Team Championships) final stage  has been held  at Palazzo dei Congressi of Salsomaggiore Terme, next to Parma from 22 to 25 September 2011. Very clear victory of Allegra Torino (Lavazza team) against Angelini Roma: 206 – 127 IMPs.

Applause for the whole  Lavazza’s team that wins the prestigious Italian title: Norberto Bocchi, Giorgio Duboin, Valerio Giubilo, Lorenzo Lauria, Agustin Madala, Antonio Sementa, Alfredo Versace and Romain Zaleski.

Second place for Angelini Roma: Lino Bove, Leonardo Cima, Fulvio Fantoni, Benito Garozzo, Claudio Nunes, Federico Primavera and Francesco Angelini.

Ass. Bridge Val di Magra defeated  Bridge Reggio Emilia by 164 to 162 and reached the third place.

The Lavazza team’s performance  has been  much appreciated by the commentators  in Vugraph BBO.

During the second segment,  where Lavazza  won  70-9 against  Angelini, Krishna Chakravartula (psyck on BBO) commented: “The whole Allegra team had a perfect session, nothing much anyone can do when they get all bidding judgements rite & read the the cards perfectly”.

And  Venkatesh R. (rv on BBO) said: ” As perform in this match so far, it looks like Ms Lavazza has chosen the best Italian team for Bermuda Bowl though Fantunes are ranked top in WBF rankings”

SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
