On May 6th and 7th, 2016 the quarterfinal in the Polish First Division had been scheduled between AZS Wratislavia Wrocław and Connector Poznań. AZS Wratislavia fielded Gawryś – Klukowski and Balicki – Gołębiowski. When this line-up came to light Connector Poznań refused to play due to the the cheating accusations by WBF to Balicki and Żmudziński at the Bermuda Bowl in Chennai where B-Z were forced to withdraw.

The EBL Investigation Committee is stil working on a report concerning Balicki-Zmudzinski: the report will be submitted to EBL President, Mr Ives Aubry,  next month. After that, it is up to the EBL Executive Committee and EBL President to decide if  Investigation Comittee report will be transmitted to the Disciplinary Commmission.

One of the players of Connector Poznań is Mariusz Puczynski, who sent his bronze medal back to the EBL which he won in 2004 in a team with Balicki – Żmudziński.
