Opatija 2014: EBL Reaction to PBU Decision

The Polish Bridge Union (PBU) has posted a  “Reaction of the European Bridge League (EBL) authorities to PBU Decision”. The statements from EBL concern the PBU decision to not accept  the 3rd place in the revised rankings of the European Open Team Championships held in Opatija (Croatia) in 2014.

All I can say is Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!
Let us see if we can get the FMB to follow suit. I already discussed this with Allavena. He is not negative.
Full cred to the PBU, Vitek and Igor.
Jan Kamras, EBL President

I have a lot of respect for your decision. As EBL we are squeezed in a solution nobody is happy with but without another good alternative. Maybe your decision will bring up some ideas in Monaco…
Eric Laurant, EBL Treasurer

Thanks for the important update. As the Israeli Bridge Federation Chairman which was involve and took a decision to withrow at the first beginning I totally understand and full with respect to the polish board decision.
I would appreciate if you will forward it to your board.
