As mentioned in a previous article in Neapolitan Club, the new Team Zaleski (Alfredo Versace, Lorenzo Lauria, Valerio Giubilo, Mario D’Avossa, Riccardo Intonti) met yesterday in Breno (Brescia) for the official celebrations of the Italian Cup victory last December, a few months after the establishment of the team. Italian journalist Luciano Ranzanici approched him for a brief interview published today on Italian newspaper Bresciaoggi. These are Romain Zaleski’s responses:
“The Bridge has something extra and unique that makes it superior to other games because it leads people to think and to take right decisions: there are many grey areas even for champions that make their moves. Bridge looks like life when you must make chooses, and it is a preparation for life itself and I think it is important to introduce it in schools because it gives you what other games cannot offer.
The former chairman of the WBF (World Bridge Federation), Mr Jose Damiani, during a meeting I had with him, told me that the Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping introduced the teaching of bridge in the university and this is why that people is the top worldwide.”
