Cédric Lorenzini and Thomas Bessis from France won the 2015 Platinum Pairs by a narrow margin over Andrea Manno and Massimiliano Di Franco from Italy. Alexander Kolesnik and Jim Munday came third.
The Norman Kay Platinum Pairs is a three-day, six-session pairs event that starts on the second day of the Spring National. This even is named after Norman Kay (August 11, 1927 – January 17, 2002), one of bridge’s all-time great players inducted by the ACBL Hall of Fame in 1996.
Lorenzini and Bessis are playing Vanderbilt Knockout Teams with the Italian pair Lauria-Versace in the team sponsored by Cayne Cayne (sseding # 6); Di Franco and Manno are playing in the team of Connie Goldberg with Neil Chambers, John Schermer and Bill Eisenberg (seeding # 21)
