Today Gilad Ofir, Chairman of the IBF (Isral Bridge Federation), has sent a mail to Mr Gianarrigo Rona (WBF President) and Mr Yves Aubry (EBL President), announcing the withdrawal of Israel from the 2015 Bermuda Bowl (World Bridge Championships – Open series):
“In light of the recent events and the resulting acrid atmosphere with regard of the legitimacy of the Israel’s Team participation in the Bermuda Bowl, the IBF together with the 2 pairs (Padon-Birman and Herbst brothers) decided to withdraw our right to participate in the upcoming Bermuda Bowl in Chennai”
