Monday, April 18 at 9.40 p.m. the usual evening BBO Italia tournament will be dedicated to Giovanni Albamonte, the young Italian champion recently deceased. The initiative is promoted by Mrs. Rosalba Carbonetti, President of Amici del Bridge Online Club and Director of BBO Italia Tournaments, with the partecipation of Neapolitan Club. The compensation BBO Italia devotes to the tournament director will be donated to Foundation Francesca Rava NPH Italy Onlus (sponsorship).
We asked Rosalba how was the idea of Memorial born: “When I heard that Giovanni was no longer with us, I felt a deep pain. It’s hard for me to accept that a boy 38 years old (the age of my son) dies … I did not know him personally, I did not know He was suffering from an incurable disease. Giovanni was among the ‘my friends’ on Facebook: I remember that I had often seen as a kibitzer at his matches on BBO. I decided to remember him with all the friends of BBO devoting one of the monday tournaments directed by myself. As you know my Club Online is committed in an initiative of child sponsoship and so I decided to donate the entire fee of the director in this charity initiative. Monday, April 18 so we have a thought for Giovanni who left us and for a child who arrives.. “
