Angelini vs Italian Federation: Outcome of third hearing

The third hearing has been held yesterday January 26, 2012. The TNAS (National Court of Arbitration for Sport of CONI -Italian Olympic Committee) after hearing the parties, said they still need time to study all the documentation: Thus no sentence has been pronounced yet. As it is known, Francesco Angelini appealed to the National Court of Arbitration for Sport  against the Italian Bridge Federation (FIGB).  The matter of appeal was the statement of November 30,  2010 by which the CNG (National Tournament Committee) disqualified Angelini Team from 2010 Club Team Championship (Campionato Societario).

Angelini’s Team was disqualified because they lined up three foreign players not dwelling in Italy, the Norwegian Geir Helgemo, Tor Helness, Boye Brogeland.

The first hearing at the Tribunal was held on June 14, 2011, the second hearing was held on December 01, 2011.
