European Bridge Champion’s Cup Opatija, Croatia, 14-17th November, 2013. Both of the two Italians Teams have entered the semi-finals of the Champion Cup which is being played at Opatija (Croatia). Just to remember: the Champions’ Cup is an inviting event for twelve teams which won their national open championships; the countries are the top ten at 2012’s European Championship held in Dublin, plus Croatia, the guest Country, and a second team from the title holder country, that is Italy.

Therefore we have GS Bridge Allegra Torino, i.e. Lavazza, Cup Holder, which lines up Giancarlo Astore, Norberto Bocchi, Giorgio Duboin, Guido Ferraro, Agustin Madala, Antonio Sementa; and ASD Reggio Emilia, second placed at Societari 2012 (there is no point in saying that the title was won by the same Lavazza), with Ezio Fornaciari (pc), Mauro Basile, Amedeo Comella, Carla Gianardi, Aldo Mina, Stefano Sabbatini. Both of the teams have applied the “Bridge Italian Style”, that is have won their group.

The second in Group A, which will play against Reggio Emilia, is the Bulgarian K1: Ivan Nanev (pc), Victor Aronov, Diana Damianova, Rossen Gunev, Julian Stefanov; second placed in Group B, that has now to play against Lavazza, is the Polish Team Ruch sa azs pwr Wroclaw: Stanislaw Gołebiowski (npc), Cezary Balicki, Piotr Gawryś, Michal Klukowski, Michal Kwiecień, Wlodzimierz Starkowski, Adam Żmudziński.

Michał Klukowski, only 17 yo, is one of the youngest Polish bridge champion: here is it the interview realized by Laura Cecilia Porro for Neapolitan club: “A polish rising star” click here >>
