Trials Signore 2011 Semifinale: Moss contro Joel e Westheimer contro Sprung

 La squadra di Sylvia Moss, con Judi Radin, Migry Zur Campanile, e JoAnna Stansby, ha vinto i round robin con 173.96 Victory Point (VP) in quattordici incontri in scala 20-0 (media 12.43/20). In semifinale Moss Moss affronterà Geeske Joel – con Tobi Sokolov, Debbie Rosenberg, Janice Seamon Molson, Jill Levin, Jillian Meyers ­­­­– quarte classificate con 142.91.

Quinta, e prima delle non qualificate, è Renee Mancuso; il risultato che l’ha condannata è uno 0-20 contro la terza classificata Valerie Westheimer – con Hjordis Eythorsdottir, Mildred Breed, Shawn Quinn, Rozanne Pollack, Cheri Bjerkan.

Sorprendentemente, la squadra Dinkin non ha raggiunto la qualificazione; sono arrivati solo sesti con 125.45, cioè 17 VP sotto l’ultima posizione utile: è un cattivo risultato per una squadra di giocatrici così forti.

Nella seconda semifinale, contro Valerie, giocheranno JoAnn Sprung e Janet Robertson, Cinthia Balderson, Carole Miner, Sally Wheeler, Cindy Bernstein. Il risultato di JoAnn, in seconda posizione con 152.62, è la seconda sorpresa di questi round robin.

Come previsto, Toni Bales e Linda Lewis non ce l’hanno fatta, tuttavia hanno perso combattendo, raggiungendo rispettivamente 119.82 e 107.41.

Oggi si giocheranno le semifinali; Bridge Base Online (BBO) le trasmetterà iniziando dalle 17:00 ora italiana.
