Netta vittoria per Monaco alla finale della Spingold 2011

La squadra di Monaco capitanata da Pierre Zimmermann ha conquistato la Spingold Cup 2011. A Toronto Zimmermann e co. hanno firmato una netta vittoria contro la squadra di Nick Nickell in finale: 132-86.  I vincitori sono dunque: Pierre Zimmermann e Franc Multon, Fulvio Fantoni e Claudio Nunes,  Tor Helness e Geir Helgemo. Per ognuno di loro è stata la prima vittoria alla Spingold.

La squadra di Zimmermann intende partecipare al Campionato Europeo 2012. Finora però EBL (Lega Europea Bridge) non ha autorizzato l’iscrizione di Monaco ai Campionati  Europei. Anche se i giocatori del Team Zimmermann hanno stabilito la residenza a Monaco la squadra non sembra ancora in regola. Secondo il regolamento EBL, infatti, è consentito ai giocatori di rappresentare il paese di residenza  solo dopo un periodo  minimo di permanenza di 24 mesi: dato che gli Europei si svolgeranno nel mese di giugno 2012, per i giocatori di Zimmermann  saranno trascorsi solo 20 mesi.
