V CAMPIONATO EUROPEO OPEN di BRIDGE – Poznan (Polonia), 17 giugno-2 luglio 2011. Squadre Open. Medaglia d’oro per gli Americani: in finale Mahaffey (Jim Mahaffey  Gary Cohler, Sam Lev, Jacek Pszczola, Jeff Meckstroth e Eric Rodwell) ha la meglio su Bessis (Michel Bessis, Thomas Bessis, Josef Piekarek, Alexander Smirnov).

Bronzo per Monaco A (Jean Charles Allavena, Marc Bompis, Marco Catellani, Henry Fissore, Nathalie Fey and Jean Christopher Quantin)  che ha sconfitto nei play-off Texan Ace.

Mahaffey aveva battuto la nostra Lavazza ai quarti di finale in un incontro davvero  avvicente (raccontato per noi da Gluck), e Texan Ace in semifinale.
