Veldhoven 2011: France wins the Venice Cup

 World Bridge Championship 2011, Veldhoven (The Netherlands) 15-29 October 2011. France won the gold medal in Women category (Venice Cup) beating Indonesia, who reached a deserved silver medal. The Indonesia withdrew before the last round when the score was 196 to 103 for France. Yesterday in the playoff for third place The Netherlands defetaed England. The Venice Cup’s podium is so complete:

Gold to France: Veronique Bessis, Benedicte Cronier, Catherine D’Ovido, Daniele Gaviard, Joanna Neve, Sylivie Villard, Thomas Bessis (not playing captain) Romanin Tembouret (coach).

Silver to Indonesia: Lusje Olha BOJOH, Fera DAMAYANTI, Suci Amita DEWI, Kristina Wahyu MURNIATI , RIANTINI , Julita Grace TUEJE Bert Toar POLII (not playing captain) Hasyim ARIF (coach).

Bronze to Netherlands : Carla Arnolds, Laura DEKKERS, Marion MICHIELSEN, Jet PASMAN Anneke SIMONS Bep VRIEND Alex van REENE (non playing captain), Hans KELDER (coach).
