The 14th World Youth Bridge Team Championships: Italy in KO stage

The 14th World Youth Bridge Team Championships – Taicang (China). All Italian teams qualified for the knockout phase: Juniors, Girls and Youngsters.

In the Juniors and Youngsters categories the top 8 teams after Round Robin move to the KO stage: The Netherlands, Israel, Australia, France, China, USA1, Italy and Singapore  in Juniors event;  Poland, France, USA1, Sweden, Israel, Australia, England and Italy in Youngsters event.  In  Girls category the top 4 teams move to the Ko stage: The Netherlands, Poland, France and Italy.

The 14th World Youth Bridge Team Championships are underway  at Taicang City Stadium, Taicang, China, 25th July – 4th August 2012. The event is organised by the World Bridge Federation (WBF) in cooperation with the Chinese Contract Bridge Association (CCBA). The Championships comprise the Jaime Ortiz-Patiño Trophy (Juniors Teams), the Josè Damiani Cup (Youngsters Teams) and Giannarigo Rona Cup (Young Ladies Teams).

SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
