SAN FRANCISCO 2012 FALL NABC

leggi in italiano »

The Fall 2012 North American Bridge Championships will take place in San Francisco (California, US) from November 22 to December 2. All events will be played at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis located at 55 Fourth Street. The most important tourney is the Reisinger BAM Teams. The Reisinger Memorial Trophy was so called in 1966, in memory of the bridge philanthropist Curt H. Reisinger (1891-1964, breweries owner).

It’s a Board-A-Match (BAM) event: Any board is worth one point, and the best result wins it; a zero result gives half point to each team. This wild way to score is almost unknown in Europe; it needs unusual ways of bidding as of thinking.

In 2011 the Cayne’s team wins the Reisinger Trophy in Seattle: James Cayne, Michael Seamon, Alfredo Versace, Lorenzo Lauria, Giorgio Duboin and Antonio Sementa.
