Norway Open has won the 2014 Balaton Invitational Team Tournament: Terje Lie, Nils Kvangraven, Thomas Charlsen and Thor Erik Hoftaniska. They are members of the open national team which will represent Norway at the forthcoming European Championships in Opatija (Croatia, June 11- July 1, 2014).
Runners up are Allan Livgaard, Terje Aa, Jan van Cleeff and Jan Jansma (NOR-NED team). Last April, Van Cleeff and Jansma won the the 2014 Dutch national pair championship.
In the playoffs the team captained by Janet De Botton (with Arthur Malinowski, Rosen Gunev, Ivan Nanev, Tom Townsend, Nick Sandqvist) defeated Hungary – GAMAX (Gábor Winkler, Géza Homonnay, Péter Lakatos, László Szilágyi, Tamás Nikolits, Péter Talyigás).
The 2nd Balaton Invitational Team Tournament was held from May 15-18, 2014 in Siofok (Hungary).
