Krystof Buras and Gregorz Narkiewic from Poland won the Open Pairs; runners up were Tony Forrester and Andrew Robson from England; third place went to Bartosz Chmurski and Piotr Tuczynski from Poland.
Dana and Noga Tal from Israel won the Ladies Pairs; second place went to Cathy Bałdysz and Anna Sarniak from Poland; third place to Marion Michielsen and Meike Wortel from The Netherlands.
Michel Eidi’s team (with Michel and Thomas Bessis, Vassili Vroustis) won the Teams Tournament; second place went to Vytautas Vainikonis’ squad (with Woycech Olanski, Ron Schwartz, Lotan Fisher, Boguslaw Gierulski, Jerzy Skrzypczak); third place went to Zia Mahmood’s team (with Dennis Bilde, Andrew Robson,Tony Forrester).
The 2014 Cavendish was held in Monaco from September 1-5, 2014.
In his opening speech Mr Allavena, President of Monaco Bridge Federation, remebered Guido Ferraro: Thank-you, Jean-Charles.
During the prize giving ceremony, Mr Allavena announced that Monaco will host the 2015 Cavendish.
