The Italy Cup final stage takes place in the usual venue of the “Palazzo dei Congressi” in Salsomaggiore Terme (Parma) from 15 to 18 December 2011. This is the last event of the 2001 season: the winners of the Men section will be awarded with the Trophy Giorgio Belladonna and the winners of the Women section will be awarded with the Trophy Anna Valenti.
16 teams were admitted to the final stage. After the quarterfinals only four semi-finalists remain in the race: Vinci, Zaleski, Uggeri, Maggio (Men) and Bernasconi, Nardullo, Capitani, D’Apice (Women).
Yesterday, Friday, Dec. 16, was played the first round of the semi-finals which will conclude today. Tomorrow, Sunday, December 18 the final will be played and we’ll know the names of the winners.
Winner of the last edition Team Zaleski remains the favorite.

MEN. The four teams in Coppa Italia Men semifinals are Canottieri Olona Vinci: Vinci, De Falco, Ferraro, Fabio Lo Presti, Hugony, Mariani, Sementa. Breno Zalesky:Zaleski, D’Avossa, Giubilo, Intonti, Lauria, Versace. Uggeri Varese: Uggeri, Astore, Bardin, Cerreto, Cossu Rocca, Franco Garbosi, Pantusa, Tosi. Bridge Insieme Maggio: Maggio, Massimo Dato, Vincenzo Delle Cave, Grillo, Marani, Scriattoli Vitale.

So the Roman Club “Nuovo Bridge Insieme” has two teams still running (Maggio between men).
