Dublin will host the 51th European Championships starting on June 12th 2012 at the Citywest Convention Centre. Dublin is the capital and most populous city of Ireland.  The  Citywest Convention Centre is located in Dublin just 20 minutes from both the city centre and Dublin International Airport.

Last spring the President of the Hellenic Bridge Federation Diogenis Harlaftis and the EBL President Yves Aubry had signed for the hosting of the 51st European Team Championships in Greece. However during the World Championships at Veldhoven, European Bridge League President announced that Greece has withdrawn.  So a new host was needed.

Though the President of the European Bridge League, Mr. Yves Aubry, is optimistic, some details still have to be worked out. In case of an agreement the decision will become official on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012.
