International  Teams Tourney Città di Milano: December 9-10-11, 2011.  Could actually somebody be in love of Milano in Autumn? A town and a time lost in a subtle mist? But the sun sometimes skims stones in which we could recognize our ancient homes, and walking in its wide avenues we could meet the gaze of an unknown person we could fall in love of.

The Città di Milano Teams Tourney is the most important in Italy and one of the majors in Europe because of the number and strength of participants; it’s held every year at the end of the week that contains December 7th, day of Saint Ambrose, archbishop of Milano in the fourth century a.C. and today patron of the city. Then the tourney this year will start on Friday 9th and will end on Sunday 11th; The venue is the NH Centro Congressi MilanoFiori; the starting time is Friday 9th at 14:00.

The first edition was in 1970, with fifty teams, but soon came in the great champions: Torino won the 1972 edition with Pellegrin, Fiz, Garozzo, Belladonna, Garabello, Pittalà, De Martini. Today the participants are normally 100-120; in the last six edition the Team Lavazza and the Polish Team won twice; Catania and Angelini won once.

It rarely happens that the Città di Milano could be won by a team with no World or Continental champions in it, and this is not going to happen now: are expected to come in great teams, first of all the same Lavazza: as Italian Team withdrew from the Sportaccord World Mind Games, Lavazza’s players are now available for Milano.
