International Bridge Tournament – 2012 Lugano

2012 International Bridge Tournamen in Lugano (Switzerland) -  The defending champions Antonio Bardin and Franco Garbosi confirm their victory in the open pairs tournament.  Second place for Fabrizio Hugony and Francesco Vinci. The pair Fabrizio Morelli – Antonio Zanoni ended at third place.  The open pairs tournament was inaugurated in 1977: at that time the winners were  the legendary  Benito Garozzo  with his life and bridge partner (recently passed away) Lea Dupont.

At the international  team  tournament  the victory went to the squad of Irene Saesselli with Jean Dousse, Fernando Piedra and Curt Kaellstroem. The 30th International  pairs tournament  and the 6th  International  team tournament were organized by the Association Bridge Lugano  (ABL) and were held from Saturday, October 6 to Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Hotel de la Paix in Lugano. The tournaments both were directed by Mr  Antonio Riccardi.
