Just a few observations:
– 3 out of those 4 teams are from group A
– 3 teams are from what is now known as ex-YU countries
– 3 teams (out of 4) that made it directly to quarterfinals didn’t make it through
– Ascoli Piceno looks like a strong favourite but we will see it soon.

Paolo Garrisi (Turbin), captain of Ascoli Piceno, has to say few observations too:
– In the round robin group, Cakak has beaten us: by only one IMP, then the VP result was 15-15, but in the K-O matches one IMP will be enough
– The victory against Kocevje ripened in the last two deals: in the preceding fourteen I felt all but “strong favourite”.
– Sarajevo has beaten Larocca, a team that looked not weaker than us.
