HCL International Bridge Tournament 2011 – Mrs Kiran Nadar (India) is a philanthropist and an international bridge player. She sponsors a great event, with a Team and a Pair tourney: the former is in name of her father, the late Shri Naresh Tandan; the latter is in name of late Neena Bonerje, Kiram’s bridge partner, dedicate to her from the daughter Nisha.

The events will be held since 8th to 11th September. In the first edition, in 2003, played 36 teams; in the last were 74, and more are expected to play now: there are 30.000$ in prize money, as many as are given in the international tourney of Milan, for example.

Kiran Nadar is wife of Shiv Nadar, a philanthropist too and even bridgeplayer, but not as strong as his wife; Mr Nadar is the founder of HCL, Hindustan Computers Limited.

The tourneys will be played in Noida at Hotel Radisson. Noida (acronym of New Okhla Industrial Development Area), is a great town, of 300.000 inhabitants, in the South-East outskirts of New Delhi. BBO’ Vugraph will broadcast the event.
