France will host the 2012 WORLD MIND SPORTS GAMES

Contrary to the previously announced, the 2012 WORLD MIND SPORTS GAMES will be held in Lille, France from August 9-23. Playing site will be the Lille Grand Palais. The events will include an Open Teams, Women Teams, Senior Teams, and a Transnational Mixed Teams. More information about hotels and other things should be available from the WBF shortly.

Lille is situated on the Deûle River, near France’s border with Belgium.

In a previous press release, IMSA and WBF announced that the WMSP would be held  in Cardiff, (Wales) or in Strasbourg (France).

*** Clarification ***

In a letter by the President of the World Bridge Federation, Gianarrigo Rona, dated March 5, 2012, addressed to all National Bridge Organizations, it is explained that the event is pending to the signing of the final agreement with the local authorities. Mr. Rona states that this signing is to be expected within two week.
